Paula & Ryan • Oakville Harbour Wedding

Paula and Ryan met through mutual friends at a bachelor party. After a not-so-convincing meeting (she wasn’t completely sold on him), they went on their first date to a Starbucks in Port Credit and spent every day together for the next three weeks. They were inseparable. The rest is history.

Paula was actually one of my first lifestyle portrait clients! Before then, I was primarily shooting fashion & commercial work, and she was referred to me by a fabulous makeup artist (who did her wedding day makeup of course and was a gorgeous bridesmaid herself)! Paula is a talented life coach and author that inspires women to love themselves fully and live their best lives.

The wedding of Paula & Ryan was as romantic and joyous as their love story. Guests overlooked the Oakville Harbourfront as they enjoyed the candlelit reception and intimate atmosphere. Paula & Ryan were beaming ear-to-ear all day, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their daughter, Summer was a big part of the celebration as she is clearly the centre of their world (cue heart melting). One of the highlights of their wedding for me was their first dance! As a choreographer myself, I loved seeing how much thought and practice they had put into Paula’s dream first dance. Ryan rose to the challenge and blew everyone away!

These three, along with their dog, Riley, have lived all over the world, from Denmark to Etobicoke to Italy to Bracebridge. It only made sense to have a travel inspired wedding to show their love for adventure. Warehouse 84 supplied beautiful decor pieces for Paula & Ryan to share their first look in front of. Stunning florals were crafted by Ashton Creative.

Thanks to my wonderful second photographer Meg for helping me document this special day!
